The Swiitch Tag isn’t just about blocking apps — it’s about changing habits.
Our approach is based on Rational Override Theory: by making it slightly harder to access distracting apps, you give your brain a moment to pause and choose intentionally.
Place your Swiitch Tag somewhere that requires you to get up to retrieve it when you want to access blocked apps. That little extra effort — or “friction” — is what makes Swiitch so effective at helping you stay focused.
Yes, you can block websites across all browsers. (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Brave... even Duck Duck Go)
No worries, accidents happen! The Swiitch app comes with five Emergency Unlocks, which will unblock all your apps if you can’t access your tag.

A Swiitch tag is your tiny physical key to lock distracting apps.
The Swiitch App requires a Swiitch tag to work.
You get 1 Emergency Unblocks top up every 4 weeks. If you run out of all Emergency Unblocks, you will not be able to Swiitch until you request more in Settings.
Requests generally take a couple hours to complete and top your Emergency Unblocks back up to 5.
Swiitch can block apps and websites on your iPhone.
Blocking apps is managed by Apple does not allow you to block system apps (clock, health...).
No tag? No problem.
Simply long hold down the Swiitch button in the app for 3 seconds to block your distracting apps from anywhere.You’ll still need your physical Swiitch Tag to unblock them.
Screen Time and Digital Wellbeing are easy to bypass. A quick tap on “skip” and you’re back in.

If you have an issue with your order or are dissatisfied for any reason, you have 30 days to contact us and start the return process.
For Swiitch Tags, please return them in their original packaging and condition. At this time, we’re unable to provide a return shipping label, so you’ll need to cover shipping.
At Swiitch, your data is yours. We don’t sell it, and in most cases, we don’t even have access to it. You are not our product.
We cannot see and do not track which apps you block or how you use your device.

Child Mode lets parents block apps and websites on a child’s device or share their device with their kids safely. Kids edit profiles, delete Swiitch, or use emergency unblocks. Only the Swiitch tag can unblock the apps.
If you have lost access to your Child Mode emergency pin and Swiitch tag and cannot exit Child Mode, please contact hello@getswiitch.com for support to get back into your device.
Strict Mode disables deleting all apps while you have Swiitched off distractions.
This means you can't delete the Swiitch app to try and get to your distracting apps. Clever right?
The settings app cannot be directly blocked by Swiitch as it is an Apple system app.
There is a clever way to block it using our pre-configured Apple shortcut. Follow the guide here.
In short, you use a shortcut that blocks settings and then block shortcuts using Swiitch so that you can't remove the shortcut.
