Why do I need a physical tag when I can use an app to block apps?

The Swiitch Tag isn’t just about blocking apps — it’s about changing habits.

Our approach is based on Rational Override Theory: by making it slightly harder to access distracting apps, you give your brain a moment to pause and choose intentionally.

Place your Swiitch Tag somewhere that requires you to get up to retrieve it when you want to access blocked apps. That little extra effort — or “friction” — is what makes Swiitch so effective at helping you stay focused.
